The business Model reflects a huge potential growth for the company in the near future with mining and processing projects on the pipeline. These projects are at brown field stage where Sigeo Minerals has partnered with various mining groups to secure prospecting and mining permits. The projects include Coal, industrial minerals in RSA; Copper in Zambia; Chrome, Platinum, Manganese and Coal in Zimbabwe; gas and oil in Namibia; and iron ore in Angola.

Logistics Projects

We are growing in the global logistics framework and expecting to develop in this space, as such, Sigeo Logistics is putting up a world-class forwarding and clearing and warehousing capabilities to expand its business units. Sigeo logistics will now be able, through the implementation of these initiatives, offer a total comprehensive and competitive supply chain and logistics solution.

Apart from its Coal Haulage through its partners in Mpumalanga, Sigeo Logistics is now hauling lime to Zambia and Cu from Zambia and DRC to South Africa, Durban habour.

Our Minerals Projects

Witkop Thermal Coal Project (kroonstaad, Free State)

Sigeo Minerals, A wholly owned subsidiary of Sigeo Investment Holdings, has recently formed a partnership with Witkop Exploration and Mining (WEM) to explore, exploit and market thermal Coal from their project in Witkop near Kroonstad, Free State.The project is expected to yield about 173 million tons of thermal Coal destined to possible Eskom and off- shore markets. The project is on its feasibility stage and expected to produce its first Coal beginning of 2013; the project is anticipated to be an underground operation with annual sales of 2.65 million tons. Ferrochrome Project (gweru, Zimbabwe)

Sigeo Minerals is currently putting up a smelter in Gweru for the beneficiation of Chrome Ore into Ferrochrome with purity of 99% minimum in Gweru, Zimbabwe. The plant will be a 6.3 MVa expected to produce +- 1500 tons of Ferrochrome destined for Asian Pacific and European Markets - shipped via South Africa through its logistics sister company, Sigeo Logistics. The first production is expected in March 2012 subject to all approvals by Zimbabwe Government Authorities and funding. For further developments please contact us.

Copper Project (zambia, Drc)

Sigeo Minerals, together with local companies in Zambia and DRC and Government have signed a MOU for Cu, Cobalt and other metal prospecting opportunities within the Cupper belt.

Iron Ore Exploration (angola)

Together with Angolan consulate, SIH has started making in-rows in some of Angola's under explored deposits such as Iron Ore. This project is intended to be executed under Forbes and Manhattan guidance and support. Sigeo IH has signed a MoU with Forbes & Manhattan, a Canadian Merchant Bank, to explore prospective mineral projects in Africa where SIH will be the foot-solder on the ground in developing these projects. "We are very fortunate and pleased with this relationship, which to us proves F&M's commitment in alleviating and supporting Economic development through entrepreneurship in Africa thus resulting in creating sustainable employment". Gas And Oil (offshore, Namibia)

Sigeo has partnered up with Okaanda Mining and Exploration (Pty) Ltd in Namibia for an exploration project of offshore oil and gas in the Luderitz and Orange Basin where drilling of wells of deep water blocks with good prospectivity have been identified. The project will involve gathering and review of drilling, seismic, magnetic and gravity data from adjacent areas where oil and gas are being known to occur. The project will then move to the acquisition of 2D and 3D seismic data of the area under exploration to further delineate the oil and gas occurrences.

Eastern Cape Quarry, Industrial Minerals (butterworth, Eatern Cape)

Sigeo minerals (Pty) Ltd has a 15% shareholding in EASTERN CAPE QUARRIES CC - a wholly black owned and managed Company - whose core business is the provision of stone crushing and aggregate supply services to the quarry community. Sigeo Minerals has also entered into an agreement with EASTERN CAPE QUARRIES CC for the establishment of a crushing plant and supply of crushed aggregates as well as obtaining the mandate to market the product for sale.

Currently, the project is looking for funding of R15, 420, 000. The funds will be used to purchase stone crushing equipment into the business, with the total leasing of the equipment, with its personnel, to Eastern Cape Quarries at an agreed rate of R115/ton product as would be specified on the leasing SLA. Eastern Cape Quarries would waive itself from all risks, financial losses and other peripheral challenges that may be encountered and the ownership of the assets will remain with the lessor.
